Safety Guidelines
Airguns are powerful tools. Used correctly, they are safe and enjoyable. Used carelessly, they are dangerous. These rules are not optional.
The Six Fundamental Rules
Treat Every Gun as Loaded
Never assume an airgun is unloaded. Always check the breech, chamber, and magazine — every single time, even if you just checked it a moment ago.
Never Point at Anything You Won't Shoot
The muzzle must only ever face a safe direction. Never point an airgun at a person, animal, or anything you don't intend to destroy.
Finger Off Trigger Until Ready
Keep your trigger finger straight and outside the trigger guard until you have positively identified your target and are ready to fire.
Know Your Target & What's Beyond
Pellets can penetrate targets and travel beyond. Always have a solid backstop and be absolutely certain of what lies beyond your target.
Store Safely, Separately
Store your airgun unloaded in a locked cabinet. Keep pellets in a separate locked container. Both must be inaccessible to children.
Never Modify Without Expert Approval
Unauthorised modifications are illegal and dangerous. All modifications must be done by a qualified gunsmith. Never tamper with the action, barrel, or trigger yourself.
Child Safety — Critical
- Never leave a loaded airgun unattended, even for a moment.
- Teach children to treat all guns as real and dangerous from a very young age.
- Only allow supervised shooting by minors in designated ranges with proper safety equipment.
- Use trigger locks and secure storage even when you believe the property is adult-only.
- If a child finds a gun, instruct them: Stop. Don't Touch. Leave the Area. Tell an Adult.
